We are a family owned and operated business based out of Bonny Doon, CA. We’ve lived on and maintained our 5 acre property since 2016. We experienced first hand the importance of defensible space when the CZU fire came through our mountain community claiming many of our neighbors homes. We want to do more to help our community qualify for better rates on fire insurance and not lose their property in the next fire. We’re here to help!
Our Equipment
Kubota KX040 5 ton excavator with 6 way dozer blade and auxiliary flow at the boom.
Rock/root/brush grapple. Heavy duty 1200 lb attachment.
High flow stump grinder 27 GPM.
1800 lb deck mower. 10’ high articulation, 6“ thick material.
Rental machines for bigger jobs.
20K GVWR equipment trailer and 50 gallon diesel transfer tank.
Portable fire suppression equipment.
Kubota RTV. Used for shuttling equipment and personnel on larger sites.

How we operate.
All jobs are done by an estimate of our hourly commitment. We do not do bids. Our machine labor rate is $200 per hour for the track loader and attachments. We also bill $200 per hour for the excavator. If a job requires both pieces of equipment we do not bill for having an idle machine on site. Hand work such as raking, leaf blowing, and chainsawing may be needed to facilitate the use of equipment. Our ground labor rate is between $50 and $80 an hour depending on the skill level needed. We carry insurance and work within the confines of our licensing.
Sustainable Land Management
Brush mowing: Ladder fuel reduction of brush and small trees around 10’ or less and up to 6” thick. Can access steep and difficult terrain.
Stump grinding: High flow stump grinding in tight and hard to access locations.
Stump removal: Stump removal with the track loader or excavator.
Fire breaks: Clearing of vegetation down to bare mineral soil in strategic locations up to fire-ground standards to mitigate wildfire risk.
Fire roads: constructed access roads for firefighting equipment and personnel that also function as maintained fuel breaks.
Large permitted LE5 burns. Utilizing trained personnel with firefighting equipment on site, we can reduce fuels well past the confines of a backyard burn permit.
Burn scar remediation: Much of the CZU burn scar is now more of a fire hazard than before due to standing dead trees with heavy brush understory.
